RESOLUTION NO. 24-4790
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA APPROVING A COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACTING BY AND THROUGH ITS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS), FOR THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND ESTIMATES AND RIGHT OF WAY WORK NECESSARY TO CONSTRUCT A NEW FULL INTERCHANGE AND AUXILIARY LANES AT INTERSTATE 215 AND KELLER ROAD (DISTRICT AGREEMENT NO. 08-1789).
WHEREAS, the City of Murrieta has elected to improve the existing Interchange at Interstate 215 and Keller Road, CIP No. 08449; and WHEREAS, the project is located within State Right of Way; and WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement identifies the scope of work and responsibilities for each of the parties associated with the Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) and Right of Way (ROW) phases of work; and WHEREAS, the Streets and Highways Code sections 114 and 130 provide for the execution of a Cooperative Agreement for improvements to the State Highway System within the City’s jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, the Cooperative Agreement is a requisite document in order for the California Department of Transportation to render oversight services for the proposed project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS The City of Murrieta hereby approves Cooperative Agreement No. 08-1789 with the State of California, acting by and through its Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for the Plans, Specifications, and Estimates and Right of Way necessary to construct a new full Interchange and auxiliary lanes at Interstate 215 and Keller Road, CIP No. 08449.
Cooperative Agreement No. 08-1789 is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Murrieta.
The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Cooperative Agreement No. 08-1789.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify the passage and adoption thereof.
