Background
CIP 8043 – Pavement Rehabilitation Improvements
Limits of work on Clinton Keith Road are from the City/County Boundary line near County Fire Station #75 to Rancho Mirlo Road, and Date Street from Margarita Road to 700’ North/East. Remove and replace designated failed sections of asphalt. Install Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) overlay.
AC dike improvements, overside drain improvements, miscellaneous concrete work, pavement fabric, signing/striping, correction of deficiencies in roadway, and loop detector replacements.

Recommendation
1. Award the Construction Contract for the Clinton Keith Road and Date Street Pavement Rehabilitation Project, Capital
Improvement Plan No. 8043 to the lowest responsible bidder, ONYX Paving Company Inc., in the amount of $1,832,612.50 plus fifteen percent (15%) contingency for a total amount of $2,107,504.38.
2. Authorize the City Engineer to approve Contract Change Orders not to exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the Contract amount.
3. Authorize and direct the Mayor to execute the Contract on behalf of the City.
