Subject: Southwest Higher Education Coalition Partnership: Schultz’s Eagles Nest & Tribute Campaign
Dear Southwest Riverside Higher Education Coalition Partners, On behalf of Mt. San Jacinto College and the MSJC Foundation, thank you for your continued partnership in expanding higher education access and opportunity throughout our region.

As Superintendent/President Roger Schultz prepares to retire in June 2026 after 25 years of service, we have launched the Tribute Campaign honoring his leadership and regional impact. The campaign goal is $100,000 before his retirement, supporting both student success and the MSJC University Center.

We are especially grateful for your partnership in supporting one of our signature campaign events:

Schultz's Eagles Nest: A Speakeasy for Higher Education Friday, March 27, 2026

 Dueling pianos |
Gaming tables | 1920s-themed attire encouraged
This event celebrates President Schultz’s legacy while raising funds to support:
• 25% — Student Success Initiatives
• 75% — MSJC University Center Endowment, expanding local bachelor’s degree pathways
Dr. Schultz has launched the campaign with a personal gift of $10,000, and Trustee Calvin Smith and his wife Debbie have contributed $5,000, helping build early momentum toward our goal.

Coalition Sponsorship Opportunity - University Center Support As regional partners committed to educational access and workforce development, we invite Coalition members to consider event sponsorship or campaign support as a visible demonstration of our shared commitment to higher education in Southwest Riverside County.

Sponsorship opportunities provide recognition at the event and alignment with a regional effort that strengthens student pathways and economic vitality.

How You Can Support
• Attend Schultz’s Eagles Nest
• Share the event and campaign with your networks
• Explore sponsorship opportunities
• Consider a campaign contribution
Your partnership reflects the collaborative leadership that defines this Coalition. Together, we can honor President Schultz’s service while continuing the important work of expanding opportunity across our region.

With appreciation,
Rebecca
