PUBLIC HEARINGS
Residential Objective Design Standards Update (MCA-2026-00013).
Senior Planner Dennis Watts and Alan Loomis from Placeworks presented the staff report and delivered a detailed presentation to the Commission.
The Planning Commission asked questions of staff who provided responses to the satisfaction of the Commission.
The Public Hearing was opened at 6:57 pm.

The Commissioners responded to the testimony, asked questions of staff, and provided their remarks.
Dennis Watts, David Chantarangsu and Alan Loomis addressed comments on issues raised during public testimony.
Action: It was moved by Vice Char Wojcik seconded by Chair Vrooman to Adopt an Ordinance that includes the final revised Residential Objective Design Standards and Code Amendment related to Development Code Chapters 16.08, and 16.16 entitled:an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Murrieta,California, amending title 16 of the Murrieta Municipal Code to revise the city’s Development Code (Planning Case No.MCA-2026-00013) chapters 16.08 and 16.16 to amend the Multi-family Residential and Mixed-Use Residential Objective Design Standards.***with the additional items that Vice Chair Wojcik voiced.
Reintroduction of Hillside Ordinance Updates (DCA-2021-2396) Murrieta Development Code Senior Planner Chris Tracy presented the staff report.
The Planning Commission asked questions of staff who provided responses to the satisfaction of the Commission.
The Public Hearing was opened at 7:55 pm.

Senior Planner Chris Tracy and City Planner Carl Stiehl responded to the public testimony and Commissioners’ comments.
Action: It was moved by Chair Vrooman seconded by Vice Chair Wojcik to continue the item to a future Planning Commission meeting to a date uncertain, as amended on the floor.
