DISCUSSION ITEM
Proposed additions to the Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2026/24-2030/31 in conformance with the City of Murrieta General Plan 2035.
Financial Analyst Roland Mendoza and Senior Civil Engineer James Ozof presented the staff report.
Battalion Chief Dave Perez and Community Services Management Analyst Crystal Arora were available for questions.
Municipal Services Management Analyst Bryce Wilson responded to Commissioners questions.
Staff responded to the Commissioners’ questions regarding various CIP projects.
Action: It was moved by Commissioner LaPaglia seconded by Commissioner DeSena to Approve a Resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Murrieta, California, making a finding to the City Council that the new proposed additions to the Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2026/27 through 2030/31 are in conformance with the City of Murrieta General Plan 2035 Motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Vrooman, LaPaglia, DeSena, Rose
Noes: None
Absent: Wojcik
WORKSHOP
Planning Commission Training and Workshop on Commission Functions, the Public Process, Public Record Act Requests, Ethics, the Brown Act and State law.
Deputy Director Jarret Ramaiya and City Planner Carl Stiehl provided the presentation and conducted the training.
Assistant City Attorney Martin Koczanowicz was available to respond to the Commissioners' comments and questions.
Chair Vrooman concluded the workshop.
CITY PLANNER COMMENTS
City Planner Carl Stiehl thanked staff and the Commissioners for their comments and input and reviewed the items scheduled for consideration at the next Planning Commission meeting.
CITY ATTORNEY COMMENTS
Assistant City Attorney Martin Koczanowicz expressed appreciation for staff's work and the overall process and thanked staff for their time and efforts.
PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS
Commissioner LaPaglia expressed appreciation to staff for their time and efforts.
