RE: Request for Reimbursement for Adjustments to RCWD Facilities CIP No. 8043 Clinton Keith Road, Grand Avenue to City/County Boundary Pavement Rehabilitation
The City of Murrieta has publicly advertised the subject project for construction and anticipates awarding the contract to the lowest responsible bidder on March 19th, 2024.
Enclosed for your reference is the engineer’s estimate for the referenced project highlighting the bid items pertaining to RCWD.
As part of the subject project, we estimate seventeen (17) manhole covers owned and operated by RCWD to be adjusted to grade. The City estimates that the selected contractor can perform this work for $21,890.00. A breakdown of the engineer’s estimate for the above referenced work is as follows:

If amenable, please provide a deposit of the total estimate amount of $21,890.00 with the City to cover these items of work. In the event of a discrepancy between the estimated and actual cost to complete the work, the City will issue a refund or request additional deposit as necessary. The project pre-construction schedule is as follows:
- Bid Open: January 18th, 2024
- Bid Close: February 15th, 2024
- City Council Approval: March 19th, 2024
