RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, (1) amending the FISCAL YEAR 2022/23 Fleet Replacements Schedule, Appendix H, to reflect updated costs; (2) approving revenue and expenditure budget increases to the Fleet Fund and other city funds, as documented in Council Budget Amendment No. 218; and (3) authorizing the Public Works Director to EXECUTE contracts on behalf of the City for the purchase of replacement vehicles and equipment that exceed $125,000 for the Public Works and Utilities Departments WHEREAS, on July 1, 2022, the City Council approved the FY 2022/23 Fleet Replacements Schedule, Appendix H, as part of the City’s FY 2022/23 Budget; and WHEREAS, the Fleet Division is proposing that the Fleet Replacements Schedule, Appendix H, be updated due to increased costs for replacement vehicles and equipment; and WHEREAS, the increased expenditure budget to purchase the scheduled replacement vehicles will require a budget amendment to the Fleet Fund and other City funds; and WHEREAS, City Council authorization is required for the purchase of equipment and vehicles exceeding $125,000 per unit; and WHEREAS, it is requested for the Public Works Director be authorized to complete the purchase of the specified replacement vehicles and equipment that have reached the end of their useful life and exceed $125,000; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the amended FY 2022/23 Fleet Replacements Schedule, Appendix H, to reflect updated costs, attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference.
The City Council hereby approves budget increases and interfund transfers, as documented in Council Budget Amendment No. 218, attached hereto as Exhibit “B” and incorporated herein by reference.
The City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and execute contracts on behalf of the City for the purchase of vehicles and equipment identified on the “Fleet Replacements – December 2022 Update” (attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference), in an amount not to exceed that shown in the “Updated Cost” column for each Unit..
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 6th day of December, 2022, by the following vote:
