RESOLUTION R2022-__
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL TO LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND STATE BOARDS, COUNCILS, COMMISSIONS AND COMMITTEES FOR THE YEAR 2023 WHEREAS, the City of Napa participates in a variety of local, regional, and state Boards, Councils, Commissions and Committees that serve the City and provides representation of the City’s interest; and WHERAS, each year, City Councilmembers review, change, or affirm their commitments to the various local, regional, and state boards, councils, committees, or commissions they are required to attend as a member of the City Council and / or elected Mayor; and WHERAS, in accordance with FPPC regulation 18702.5, FPPC Form 806 will be completed and posted on the City’s website to list all paid appointed positions to which an official has voted on to appoint themselves. FPPC Regulation 18702.5 provides that as long as the public is informed prior to a vote, an official may vote to hold another position even when the vote results in additional compensation; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
1. The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
2. City Council hereby appoints each member of Council to serve as the “Current Appointee” or the “Current Alternate Appointee” of the respective “Board/Commission,” as set forth in Exhibit “A,” attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
3. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to forward the approved appointments to the secretary for each attached board, commission, or committee.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 20th day of December, 2022, by the following vote:
