RESOLUTION R2023-__
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT F-450 STENCIL PAINT TRUCK IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $146,500 FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, one F-450 Stencil Paint Truck used by the Public Works Department has reached its end of life; and WHEREAS, on June 15, 2021, the replacement of one F-450 Stencil Paint Truck was approved through Appendix H Fleet Replacements of the City’s FY2021/2022 budget; and WHEREAS, on September 7, 2021, Resolution No. R2021-089 was approved for the purchase of a replacement F-450 Stencil Paint Truck for the Public Works Department authorizing a not to exceed amount of $145,500; and WHEREAS, through the course of the vehicle purchase process, additional options were required that increased the vehicle price $1,000 over the previously authorized amount; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the FY2022/23 Fleet Replacement General Fund to purchase the replacement vehicle; and WHEREAS, the not to exceed replacement cost of the replacement vehicle exceeds $125,000, therefore requiring City Council approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to initiate a procurement process in accordance with NMC Chapter 2.91 and execute a contract for the purchase of a replacement F-450 Stencil Paint Truck in an amount not to exceed $146,500 for the Public Works Department.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of March, 2023, by the following vote:
