RE: Strong Support for Vintage Farm Project
Dear Members of the Planning Commision:
The purpose of this letter is to express the District's strong support for the Vintage Farm Subdivision Project.
We appreciate the City of Napa’s continued support and partnership with Davidon Homes as their project moves through the approval process. Davidon Homes has been an exceptionally positive partner throughout negotiations and the escrow process with the District. Additionally, the Vintage Farm Subdivision Project provides much needed housing for the Napa community.
The District entered into an agreement to sell the property to Davidon Homes in September of 2020.
Sale of the land is part of a larger plan for the District to build a new modern farm at a new location that will not only provide better access for our students, but also provide new facilities.
Funds from the sale of the land are critical. Construction on the new farm cannot begin until the District receives the proceeds from the sale. The District has completed the necessary applications and planning and is ready to start construction as soon as funds are released.
The District is hoping to break ground with construction as soon as possible and hopes that the Vintage Farm Subdivision Project is approved as soon as possible.
