RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ACKNOWLEDGING RECEIPT OF THE 2023 ANNUAL FIRE INSPECTION COMPLIANCE REPORT PREPARED PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE SECTIONS 13146.2 – 13146.4 WHEREAS, California state law requires that every fire department and district in the state conduct annual safety inspections, as set forth in California Health and Safety Code Sections 13146.2 and 13146.3; and WHEREAS, the Napa Fire Department conducted annual safety inspections for 2023, as summarized in the 2023 Annual Fire Inspection Compliance Report, attached as Exhibit “A”; and WHEREAS, State law requires every fire department of a city to submit an annual report to its city council regarding compliance with these state mandated fire inspections, as set forth in California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4 (effective January 1, 2019, pursuant to California Senate Bill No. 1205 (Chapter 854, Statutes of 2018); and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City Staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby acknowledges receipt of the 2023 Annual Fire Inspection Compliance Report (attached hereto as Exhibit “A,” and incorporated herein by reference) in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 13146.4.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 6th day of February 2024, by the following vote:
