RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AN AMEDED APPENDIX H, FLEET REPLACEMENT SCHEDULE OF THE APPROVED FISCAL YEAR 2024 CITY OF NAPA OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET, AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR THE PURCHASE OF REPLACEMENT VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT BASED ON THE DESCRIPTIONS AND DOLLAR AMOUNTS IDENTIFIED ON THE AMENDED APPENDIX H, AND ADJUSTING THE CURRENT EXPENDITURES BUDGET OF THE FLEET REPLACEMENT FUNDS BY $468,300 AS DOCUMENTED BY BUDGET ADJUSTMENT NO. 372P11.
WHEREAS, the City of Napa FY24 & FY25 Operating & Capital Budget (“Budget”) was adopted on June 20, 2023; and WHEREAS, the on October 17, 2023, the City Council approved a revised FY24 & FY25 Fleet Replacements and Purchases Appendix H (“Appendix H”) as part of the City of Napa Operating & Capital Budget; and WHEREAS, City Council action is needed to amend the previously approved Appendix H; and WHEREAS, Appendix H will be amended to increase the projected authorized costs for 9 vehicles in the amount of $185,800 to account for increased material costs for the Fleet Replacement General Fund for FY24 purchases; and WHEREAS, Appendix H will be amended to increase the projected authorized cost for 2 vehicles in the amount of $330,000 to account for increased material costs for the Fleet Replacement Water Fund for FY24 purchases; and WHEREAS, Appendix H will be amended to remove a Trash Pump trailer in the amount of $47,500 for the Fleet Replacement Water Fund; and WHEREAS, Appendix H will be amended to change a projected purchase of a large transport trailer to two smaller trailers for the Fleet Replacement Water Fund; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered all information related to this matter, as presented at the public meetings of the City Council identified herein, including any supporting reports by City staff, and any information provided during public meetings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the amended Fleet Replacements and Purchases Appendix H to the approved City of Napa FY2024 Operating & Capital Budget, to reflect updated equipment purchases, attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and incorporated herein by reference.
The City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to procure in accordance with NMC Chapter 2.91 and execute contracts on behalf of the City for the purchases of vehicles and equipment identified on the attached amended Fleet Replacements and Purchases Appendix H (Exhibit “A”) in an amount not to exceed that shown in the “Estimated Cost” column for each unit.
The City Council hereby approves the following obligations as documented in Budget Adjustment No. 372P11 attached hereto as Exhibit “B” and incorporated herein by reference:
Increase the Fleet Replacement General Fund (61030910) FY24 budget by $185,800 Increase the Fleet Replacement Water Fund (61030980) FY24 Budget by $282,500 This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 21st day of May 2024, by the following vote:
