Good morning everyone. I'd sure like to visit today but I must be off to work for a few hours, and then I want to watch the Met's playoff game followed by some sort of political debate, so - --------
So, the other day I got myself annoyed again about the egregious parking violations that continue to exist in the area all around our home.
I stopped into Public Works and asked a
nice young gentleman if it would be ok for me to sink a post in our curb strip, and to install a Little Library Box on it with a sign stating "Please Don't Obstruct Our Driveway".
PG&E
didn't like the little sign that I tacked up on their utility pole, so I just thought this might be the way to go.
Anyway, after some back and forth discussion it sounded a bit unclear if it would be wise for me to do such a thing, but then the gentleman I was speaking to told me that I should go talk to another gentleman who had just walked into the office.
This man, whose
shirt or badge indicated he was a Parking Ambassador, listened to me for a while and told me what I should do ------ file an online complaint during the day or call the NPD non-emergency # after 10:00 p.m. if we ever experienced another problem.
He also told me that the
Abandoned Vehicle Abatement
Program had been abolished during the early days of the pandemic.
I believe that the pandemic is long over, but I do realize others would prefer it lasts forever.
Bottom line is that nothing ever changes for the better over here and things are only getting worse

........, and that Little Library Box sure would be a good way of getting rid of all my fishing books and magazines, and maybe even some literature not so appropriate for little children.
