Hi Mary!
I do not live in the City, rather I live in the County, so I am not able to vote for City Council etc. But I want to give you my thoughts regarding appointment of Rick Robben for the remainder of Liz Alessio’s term.

I know Rick to be a community-centered man, his work and family and life has always been centered around a love for Napa.

His resume is outstanding. His work ethic and passion are rare. He is generous and charitable, and he walks the walk (does not just write the checks). He has helped build, and rebuild peoples homes who have suffered tragedy.

He’s very entrepreneurial, and innovative, with a head for new solutions. His several businesses have all been born of a need that was not served well.

His compassion is really beautiful-- for seniors, those with illness, kids, and single parents. He has survived cancer himself, and knows how hard it is to raise a family and make a living in the Bay Area.

Sports, and faith, and patriotism are all part of who he is, and he is joyous about it and inclusive, non-judgemental. The only thing he will not tolerate is bigotry.

He knows what it is to make jobs, a payroll, and compete. His skills are valuable for any organization, superb for the City. With a legal background and law enforcement and construction/permitting expertise, and school sports, he has functioned within all areas of local government.

His wife Tami really is a partner in everything Rick does, as are his grown kids, and grandkids. They are a local family and they keep so many friends for many decades. Truly Napa core people, dedicated and grateful for this place we call home.

I hope you know him well, and have the opportunity to support his application for City Council.

Thank YOU and Jason for all you do as a dedicated family to make a difference here in Napa! Respectfully,
Linda Fischer

Dear Mayor and City Councilmembers,
In reviewing the applications for the District 1 City Council seat, I was very impressed--and gratified--that so many residents from very different backgrounds are passionate about serving our community. I know whoever you select will be a strong addition to the Council.

I'm writing to support Will Marcencia's application. I'm not a District 1 resident, but I believe he will provide the Council with something that none of the other candidates can: the ability to get the word out about what's happening in City government. This is absolutely crucial in order to get residents involved and to make people feel heard. In addition, he's bilingual and well-connected to our Hispanic community and to small businesses.

The other advantage Will has, which was apparent in his application, is his familiarity with the current state of the City of Napa, its current operations, and the issues before the Council. I believe his learning curve will be much shorter than for the other candidates.

For these reasons, I ask you to appoint Will Marcencia to the District 1 City Council seat.

Thank you for your consideration,
Chris Benz

Dear City Council Members: Scott, Beith, Mary and Bernie, First, Happy New Year to you all. I hope that 2025 brings many blessings for each of you.

I hope this message finds you well. As a resident and active member of our community, I would like to respectfully ask for your support in considering Will Marcencia for the appointment as the official representative for District 1 on the Napa City Council.

Will Marcencia has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to our community through his visionary leadership and dedication. He currently serves as the Board President of Providence Community Health Foundation Napa Valley (formerly Collabria Care) and is actively involved as a Board Member of the Napa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and a member of Napa Sunrise Rotary. His past service includes roles on the boards of the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art and Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter. He is also a proud recipient of the North Bay Business Journal’s Latino Business Leadership Award and was recognized as Small Business of the Year by Senator Bill Dodd. A graduate of Leadership Napa Valley, Will has the experience and collaborative spirit needed to address key Council priorities such as traffic safety, homelessness, and public infrastructure.

Will's leadership extends beyond governance. His company has played a crucial role in public outreach during natural disasters, offering critical support to our community in times of need. Since his arrival in Napa, he has integrated himself into the community with great passion and service.

He is committed to the well-being of all residents and has used his platform to ensure that critical information reaches the community in multiple languages.

Will’s deep passion for service makes him approachable, well-liked, and respected by everyone he meets. He listens with intention, follows up diligently, and remains open to meaningful discussions. There is no one better suited than Will Marcencia to serve in this important position.

Please consider this note as a heartfelt show of support for Will Marcencia to serve as the District 1 representative. His experience, dedication, and passion for our community make him an exceptional candidate for this vital role. Your thoughtful consideration is greatly appreciated.

Warm regards,
Maria L. Cisneros

Dear Beth,
Happy New Year! I hope you had a lovely Hannukah/holiday season.

I am writing to you to express my fulsome support for Will Marcencia to fill the vacancy left by Liz Alessio representing District 1 on the Napa City Council.

I have known Will since 2019/2020 when he joined the board of Providence Community Health Foundation of Napa Valley, formerly Collabria Care when I was Board Chair. Will has succeeded me as Board Chair where he has shown to have strong leadership capabilities, and demonstrated a strong community commitment and vision.

He is also a Board Member of the Napa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and member of Napa Sunrise Rotary. He has also served on the boards for di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art and Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter.

You may know that he, along with his wife, Julissa, own Winedown Media (our very own KVON & KVYN) which you know to be a source of public outreach during the last string of natural disasters our community has endured.

Will is also and he is a recipient of the North Bay Business Journal’s "Latino Business Leadership Award" as well as "Small Business of the Year" by Senator Bill Dodd. He also participated in Leadership Napa Valley.

I believe Will Marcencia is ready to work collaboratively with the rest of City Council to address key Council priorities such as traffic safety, homelessness, and public infrastructure.

Please consider this note as a show of support for Will Marcencia. While I am unable to attend the upcoming City Council meeting, please feel free to contact me at this address/phone below. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

Dear Mary,
As a resident of District 1, I am writing to strongly support the appointment of Will Marcencia to the seat vacated by Liz Alessio. Will has made a huge difference to our community and will be an excellent member of Napa City Council.

I first met Will in Leadership Napa Valley’s Class 32 where we were in the same practicum group. Our project was to produce “Senior Moments”, a weekly radio broadcast to provide information to Napa seniors about services in the community and issues important to the senior population. Will was a huge part of that project, and his leadership was outstanding. Will made sure that the project would be sustainable, working with Molly’s Angels to take over the programming when our LNV year ended.

As you know, Will continues to be a leader in our community, currently serving as President of the Providence Community Health Foundation (formerly Collabria Care). He is an active member of Napa Sunrise Rotary, where we regularly see his leadership skills at work. Will has been on the Boards of the Napa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, and Friends of the Napa County Animal Shelter, so he knows how to collaborate on a multi- member panel.

I am pleased there are so many strong candidates among my neighbors to fill this vacancy, but Will Marencia stands out from among the crowd. I encourage you to vote for him to join you on Napa City Council.

Dear Napa City Council Member,
As a resident of District 1 and colleague of Will Marcencia, I’m writing to express my strong support for Will as the appointed official for District 1 on the Napa City Council. As a dedicated member of our community, Will Marcencia has consistently shown strong community commitment and vision.

I met Will shortly after he moved here from LA and I have always admired his drive to grow and learn. He is a risk taker, something I'm not, and I believe we need more of that in our community. He took a chance moving here to run a radio station when others said radio was dead. He served on my board of Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter where we worked together on Hispanic community outreach. More importantly, over the years Will has become family.

Will is extremely dedicated when it comes to things he's passionate about and I believe his energy and drive will be very helpful in pushing community priorities such as traffic safety, homelessness, and public infrastructure.

Please consider this note as a show of support for Will Marcencia. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

Dear Napa City Council Members,
That I am not the only one respectfully requesting you appoint Will Marcencia to represent District 1 on the Napa City Council speaks volumes. I am not surprised he has a significant number of supporters. But more importantly, each of you are already well aware of his community involvement and impact. Your vetting of Will has essentially been ongoing the past 8+ years he and Julissa arrived in Napa. Will wasted no time making contributions of his talents to our community.

Having represented the Marcencia’s in their Napa real estate acquisition, I witnessed up close and personal how he handled several unforeseen challenges that arose during and after that process. Always the consummate professional; the perfect balance of passion and pragmatism. From our very first meeting, as they were vetting me, they discussed their strong desire to contribute to and become deeply immersed in their new community.

I will defer to Will’s other supporter to list the board positions and numerous accolades earned. The key is, you truly already know Will. That means you can trust Will to be diligent in his assessment of the issues, and to always exercise integrity in decision making, and to always choose for the community’s highest good.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my request.

Sincerely,
