CITY OF NAPA

PROCLAMATION
In Support of Historically Marginalized Communities
WHEREAS, the City of Napa recognizes the long and storied past of our historically marginalized communities, including members of our immigrant community and acknowledges that they are integral to every aspect of our community and society. They are our leaders, friends, colleagues, neighbors and family with whom we have built and continue to grow a thriving and inclusive City; and WHEREAS, the City of Napa remains dedicated to building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive community where all individuals feel safe and secure and can access the resources they need without fear; and WHEREAS, the Napa City Council holds a fundamental vision of a vibrant and inclusive city and will continue to navigate the path forward together with community members, including all immigrants to establish trust, collaboration, and respect; and WHEREAS, acknowledging the well-being and civil rights of all people as inalienable is a shared value of every member of the Napa City Council.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Scott Sedgley, Mayor of the City of Napa along with the City Council, do hereby proclaim that we aspire to be a model for support of historically marginalized communities, including members of our immigrant community, and to demonstrate the values of unity and acceptance.
