What is your understanding of the role and responsibility of this board? I would be a senior community at large representative and oversee the happenings at the senior center. Talking to people at the center and in the community. Spread the good news of happenings at the senior center, be available for advise and input.

Learning how we connect as seniors, age gracefully in our community and make a positive impact for all.
What activities of this board are least interesting to you? Finances
What programs or projects would you like to see improved or implemented? Gardening without chemicals. Growing vegetables and flowers, beneficial insects and learning about soil, Not dirt. Have chefs come in and demonstrate what to do with the produce that is grown.

The opportunity to get a closer look at the cross-section of senior-focused services in our community, learn about and support cross-functional community initiatives, and the opportunity to visit the senior center as a representative of the board.
What activities of this board are least interesting to you? N/A - maybe I'll have an opinion on this later, but at the moment, I do not :) Katie Holman
What programs or projects would you like to see improved or implemented? I don't come to this with something I'm trying to accomplish; rather, I want to learn, support, and help offer senior perspective on initiatives presented.
How would you approach improving these project(s) or program(s)? If I *did* have a project in mind that I was hoping to implement, I would gather and assess data, talk to key stakeholders, learn about objections, and try to design a program/proposal that handles objections without drastically reducing the desired impact or increasing cost/resourcing.
I find conversations with stakeholders (both users and managers) to be important in aligning forces to get something done.
Are you involved in any organizations or activities that may result in a conflict of interest if you are appointed to this board? Not to my knowledge.
I own a senior care agency and I think that's a desired qualification here.
