PROCLAMATION
In Recognition of Betsy Bombola Retired Police Officer and Background Investigator
WHEREAS, Betsy Bombola has shown a devoted commitment to public service over the course of her long career with the City of Napa as both a police officer and contracted background investigator; and WHEREAS, Betsy began her career with the City of Napa as Police Officer in 1981 where she served as a patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Crisis Negotiator and Acting Sergeant; and WHEREAS, Betsy retired as a sworn officer in 1996 and started her own background investigations company to continue serving in the law enforcement profession and serving the City of Napa; and WHEREAS, Betsy has conducted nearly 2000 background investigations for numerous law enforcement agencies and approximately 700 of those background candidates became members of law enforcement; and WHEREAS, Betsy has exemplified strong leadership and professionalism through her unwavering support, determination, and dedication to our city; and WHEREAS, we owe Betsy a debt of gratitude for her dedication to the City of Napa and the Police Department for the past 44 years, and her passion, loyalty, and collaboration will be missed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Scott Sedgley, Mayor of the City of Napa, along with the City Council, do hereby recognize Betsy Bombola on the occasion of her second retirement, and express our deep appreciation for her outstanding service to the City of Napa and to its citizens.
