CITY OF NAPA

PROCLAMATION
Legacy Business Program
WHEREAS, the City of Napa recognizes that small businesses are the backbone of our community, forming the cultural and economic foundation of our neighborhoods and contributing to the identity and vitality of our region; and WHEREAS, many long-standing businesses in Napa have endured through decades of change, weathered economic shifts, and demonstrated deep commitment to the people they serve; and WHEREAS, these businesses are more than commercial enterprises—they are gathering places, story keepers, and landmarks that reflect the character and history of Napa; and WHEREAS, the Est.20 Legacy Business Program, created by Napa County Landmarks in partnership with the City of Napa’s Economic Development Division, celebrates businesses that have been in continuous operation for 20 years or more and have made significant contributions to Napa’s cultural and economic life; and WHEREAS, through Est.20 Legacy Business Program, our city honors these “Landmark Businesses” as enduring symbols of Napa’s entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, and legacy; and WHEREAS, by participating in this initiative, local businesses are recognized not only for their longevity but for their impact in shaping the heritage of our community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Scott Sedgley, Mayor of the City of Napa, along with the City Council, do hereby honor the Est.20 Legacy Business Program and express our deep support of the legacy businesses that help make Napa a truly extraordinary place to live, work, and visit.
