3 rd

Street in Napa,
California.

The property is historical in nature and
was built

in
1895 and

we are applying for the Mills Act
in our commitment to preserve and long
-
term maintenance of this
prominent unique

property.

It was one of the first houses ever erected on Old East Third Street.

These cottages are surrounded by gardens which were and are still a source of culinary delights. The structures are well preserved and reflects the history of Italian immigrants.

The Mills Act would allow tangible links to Napa history and help preserve the unique craftmanship and architectural significance that contribute to a community’s character.

Preserving the property and cottages is environmentally sustainable vs new constru ction.

Our plan would include the following:

PRESERVATION: All repairs of wood siding and decorative trim and would use historically appropriate techniques and material

ONGOING MAINTENANCE: The roof over time would be replaced with proper drainage systems
and if applicable gutters, downspouts in historical style

FOUNDATION: Using original materials and method
s

to secure foundation.

PAINTING: Historic finishes such as woodwork would all remain the same and color

To be the original color as purchased.

In summary, the Mills Act would allow us to reinvest in the historic character of Napa in the future. Approval of our application would support our continued investment in the community we live in and love.
