RESOLUTION R20XX-XX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NAPA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF $191,000 FROM THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT UNDESIGNATED FUND BALANCE (660-35999) TO THE EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT’S (66013100-56210) FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027 BUDGET AS DOCUMENTED BY COUNCIL BUDGET AMENDMENT NO 02P03.
WHEREAS, a total of 29 Police Department radios have exceeded their designated service life of seven years; and WHEREAS, these radio units are several years beyond their intended operational period and Motorola Solutions no longer provides support for replacement parts or software; and WHEREAS, these radios are essential to public safety operations, including emergency response, officer communication, and coordination during critical incidents; and WHEREAS, to ensure continuity of reliable communications, the FY 2026/27 Equipment Replacement’s (66013100-56210) budget will be amended to include a $191,000 transfer from the Equipment Replacement undesignated fund balance (660-35999) to replace the radios on a one-for-one basis, providing dependable equipment for the next seven years of service; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Napa, as follows:
The City Council hereby finds that the facts set forth in the recitals to this Resolution are true and correct, and establish the factual basis for the City Council’s adoption of this Resolution.
The City Council hereby approves the $191,000 transfer from the Equipment Replacement Undesignated fund balance (660-35999) to the Equipment Replacement’s FY 2026/27 budget (66013100-56210) as documented in Council Budget Amendment No. 02P03 attached hereto as Exhibit “A”.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Napa at a public meeting of said City Council held on the 1st day of September 2026, by the following vote:
