The meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm. by Mayor Sotelo-Solis.

Councilmember Rios led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT
There was no public comment.
Councilmember Rodriguez left the dais at 4:11 pm. and returned at 4:12 pm.
STAFF REPORT
E.1 Discussion of Election Code Section 9212 Report on Initiative Measure to Establish a Special Parcel Tax in National City for Streets and Parks and Accept Certification of Sufficiency of Initiative Petition ACTION: To accept and file the report.

Seconded by Sotelo-Solis
Accept and file the report, and direct staff to take the appropriate steps to submit the initiative for voter consideration at the next regular municipal election, which is scheduled to occur in November 2024, and adopt resolution entitled, “Resolution of the City Council of the City of National City, California, Accepting the Certification of the San Diego County Registrar of Voters as to the Sufficiency of the Initiative Petition entitled “National City Special Parcel Tax for Streets and Parke” Motion carried by unanimous vote
