Testimony for Fiscal year 2023Mid-year Budget Status report Item 11.2 My name is Angelica Ramirez, and I have been a National City resident for over 15 years.
Due to the mixed use of the land, our community is surrounded by various polluting businesses that trigger various types of respiratory diseases. My family is one of many families that the pollution has affected us, since my daughters have asthma and allergy problems.
This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed as a high priority issue and must be approved in the budget to restart the depreciation process. Since National City must be free of environmental contaminants and guarantee the health of our community.
I appreciate your attention in responding to requests for the well-being of National City families.
