Mr. Mayor,
The people of National City are learning that you have done away with the City Manager of National City, and you have illegally assumed the role of City Manager and Mayor.
Over a year and a half has passed since we’ve had a City Manager. Instead, you have substituted make-believed city managers while you dictated the decisions that an independent City Manager should be making.
You know, and a growing number of the people of National City are beginning to discover, that the reason you have canceled the City Manager is to avoid discovery of your wide-spread corruption.
We call upon the people of National City to demand the council hire an independent qualified City Manager and that you bring to an end your schizophrenic government and begin to repair the critical damage you have inflicted upon our city and our people.
