General Comment
Ron Morrison,
Please pay attention because the people of National City have issued your report card.
For honesty, you have a failing grade of F.
For objectivity, you have an F.
For fairness, another F.
Why have you received failing grades for honesty, objectivity, and fairness? Here are the reasons:
1. You helped developers who do not live in National City push through a public-nuisance development consisting of a service station, a convenience store, a drive-through restaurant, a drivethough car wash, and five residential units above the twelve gasoline pumps.
Then you lied to the people of National City and claimed that what you did was give general information and help, when in fact you were the ramrod for the project. That’s why you got a failing grade for honesty.
2. Why did you receive a failing grade for objectivity? Your assistant sexually assaulted an employee and was the subject of a human resources enforcement action which you mischaracterized and misstated the violation. That’s why you have an F grade for objectivity.
3. While you were helping developers who do not live in National City, who public nuisance project would inflict substantial damage on La Vista cemetery, you attack the victims by claiming they do not live in National City. Our cemetery would be directly injured as a result of you public-nuisance development, and yet you attacked the victims for not living in National City while ignoring the fact that the developers also do not live in National City. This is why you receive a failing grade for fairness.
So, Mayor, you have a failing grade for honesty, a failing grade for objectivity, and a failing grade for fairness.

Hi, I want to flag something for our new city attorney.
On December 3rd — the day after this appeal was first on the council agenda — Rodriguez posted a video promoting The Way Childcare. On a Facebook page the City of National City says it runs. Then the item got pulled.
The Way Childcare is part of this appeal.
Who made the video? He won’t say. City staff? City money? No answer. That really needs to be looked at..
That’s one issue. Here’s the bigger one.
The record says the VoteRodriguez page is run by the city. If it is, who approved posting something that may interfere with wit a public hearing? If the council overturns the Planning Commission tonight and Dutch Bros sues, that video comes up. The city pays. Not Rodriguez. The citizens would pay for a careless blundder..
Should Rodriguez recuse himself?
That’s my question for the city attorney before anyone votes.
Promoting one side of a case before you vote on a quasi-judicial matter looks like you’ve already decided. Thank you in advance for looking into the potential liability this may represent...

I do not think CONTRACT SHOULD BE AWARDED AS THE MANAGEMENT IS A FOR PROFIT ORG ! they no longer are trying to follow the rules to service national city golfers but are trying to make as much money as possible while doing the least amount of maintenance and service! local golfers cannot make tee times unless they do it by the website which doesn't work all the time.. if you want to make a tee time at the counter you must join the golf club for the special benefits seniors cannot afford those prices! we have been golfing here for 40 years and they have no idea who we are.. and we get treated like we are intruding on them.people should be able to make tees times with out having to be a social member that is discrimination
