The work necessary for the completion of this contract consisted of removing and replacing the existing Central Library (1000 Avocado Avenue) boiler and the existing Civic Center (100 Civic Center Drive) hot water heater, which were both at the end of their service lives and were showing signs of failure. The scope also included installing seismic anchorage and reusing existing electrical circuits. The replacement equipment meets the current 2019 California Title 24 Energy code requirements. The project also included one change order to add an in -line filter in order to reduce the amount of sediment deposits in the new boiler.
