Re: Agenda Item No. 9 — Resolution No. 2023-67: Declaring a Portion of City -Owned Property at the Balboa Yacht Basin (BYB) Located at 829 Harbor Island Drive as Surplus Land
Assembly Bill No. 480 (AB 480) was recently signed into law, amending the provisions of the Surplus Lands Act (SLA). City staff needs time to review AB 480 to determine how it may apply to the Balboa Yacht Basin project. Staff is requesting Agenda Item No. 9 be removed from the consent calendar.
Upon completion of our review of AB 480, should we determine the BYB project must comply to the amended SLA provisions, we will reschedule the item for a future City Council meeting.
