Hello Council Members,
My name is Spencer Pirdy. I am Travis Pirdy’s younger brother, and I am writing you(with slight bias) regarding Travis’s nomination to be a part of the Parks Beaches and Recreation Commission.
Travis’s public service has spanned more than two decades through being a Newport Beach Lifeguard, and working for the city in the recreational department. He truly understands the inner workings of the Parks, Beaches and Recreational areas of the city better than most. Travis embodies values that this city has taught him such as love, passion and persistence. These values and his love for the City of Newport Beach make Travis an incredible choice for this commission.
I know that, if appointed, he will work
diligently and wisely for this incredible city that has helped to shape who he is today I urge you to please cast your vote for Travis on Tuesday, and take advantage of having this bright young man as part of the PB and R committee. This will add another amazing asset to the thriving City of Newport Beach.

It is my understanding that Travis Pirdy has offered to serve on the Parks, Beaches & Recreation Committee. Travis has just the right background and experience to be a productive member of the Committee, having served Newport Beach as a lifeguard for nearly 20 years and working with children as an elementary school teacher. He was born and raised in Newport Beach, and is looking forward to again contributing his time and efforts to our fine City.
