Dear City Council Members,
I have followed the petitions sponsored by Newport Beach Stewardship Association and your pending decision to accept them for the November 2026 general elections.
I have read the legal briefings from the city and the Superior Court overruling the City's challenges based on procedural objections.
The signatures have been verified.
I believe Newport Beach residents' have the right to vote on these matters and see further delay by the city council as a waste of taxpayers resources and a political tactic to prevent residents from voicing their preference.
I urge you to approve the three Initiatives for the November 2026 general election ballot.

to all city council members and city attorney and city manager.
Your actions ( city attorney ) instructing council members to ignore NB residents legal democratic process for the 2026 initiatives looks very bad almost illegal reprehensive like that of the city of Bell years ago. Even being called out for legal yet unethical "stalling practices" to cause justification for delaying resident's initiatives on November's 2026 ballot.
the city attorney reported to appeal the superior judge's ruling to keep options open only furthers the mistrust between the city attorney, city council towards the majority of NB residents at large.
Please, do not destroy democracy in Newport Beach. Allow "vote for" the resident's legal democratic voices be heard with their initiatives to be placed on this 2026 November's ballot and restore good faith between your council term and the residents of Newport Beach.

To whom it May Concern
I want to express my opinion that the City Council should stop opposing the initiatives that have been approved by the Superior Court after receiving the overwhelming approval of the City of Newport Beach taxpayers. I recommend approving the initiatives as is or for vote in our November election. Any further legal avenues seeking to delay the initiative process is a waste of MY tax money, and against democracy in action.
