AMENDMENT NO. TWO TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND THE NEWPORT-MESA
UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM
THIS AMENDMENT NO. TWO TO AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM ( Agreement ) is made and entered into as of this 25th day of August , by and between the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, a California municipal corporation and charter city City ), and NEWPORT- MESA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, a political subdivision of the state of California ( District ), whose address is 2985 Bear Street, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 and is made with reference to the following:
RECITALS
A. On July 1, 2025, City and District entered into an Agreement to Participate in the School Resource Officer Program (City Contract No. C-8510-9) .
B. On July 1, 2026, City and District entered into Amendment No. One to the to ensure
continuity of School Resource Officer services and to allow the parties sufficient time to evaluate the need for an extended agreement.
C. The parties desire to enter into this Amendment No. Two to extend the term of the Agreement to August 24, 2027.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by and between the undersigned parties as follows:
1. TERM
Section 1 of the Agreement is amended in its entirety and replaced with the The term of this Agreement shall commence on the Effective Date, and shall expire on August 24, 2027, unless extended pursuant by written agreement of the parties or terminated as specified in Section 7.
2. INTEGRATED CONTRACT
Except as expressly modified herein, all other provisions, terms, and covenants set forth in the Agreement shall remain unchanged and shall be in full force and effect. [SIGNATURES ON NEXT PAGE]
