Interviews and appointment to one Planning Commission unscheduled vacancy.
Planning Commission interviews were held and the following applicants interviewed with the Mayor and City Council for 1 unscheduled vacancy:
Michelle Heasley
Michael Thompson
Tisa Aley
Sean Gil
Mark Askey
Matthew Jefferson
Linda Chavez - Gaffney
Dan Letbetter
Tara Young
Susan Olmstead-Bowen
Diane Collins
The following two applicants did not interview:
Robin Van Geest
Linda Huertas
Following interviews the Mayor and City Council deliberated on the applicants and the following motions were made and failed:
Council Member Newton made a motion and Council Member Aleman seconded to appoint Michelle Heasley to fill one unscheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission.
Motion did not pass - 4 noes and 1 aye.
Council Member Aleman made a motion and Council Member Hoffman seconded to appoint Sean Gil to fill one unscheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission.
Motion did not pass - 3 noes and 2 ayes.
Following further discussion the following motion was made and passed.
M/S ALEMAN/HOFFMAN to appoint Tara Young to fill one Planning Commission unscheduled vacancy. The Motion was carried by the following roll call vote:
