There were no public comments at this time.
2. BUDGET WORKSHOP
2.A. Continued Discussion of Preliminary Fiscal Year 2025-26 Operating and Capital Improvement Program Budgets
City Manager Free introduced the Budget Workshop and Finance Director Calhoun presented the report.
Finance Director Calhoun reviewed each line-item reduction and answered questions and addressed concerns.
Council Members discussed the reductions and provided a consensus on what reduced funds are acceptable to keep for each department.
Council Members discussed which departments need to make additional reductions and thanked Staff for their work on the budget.
Council Members requested that all final reductions be made for review at the regular scheduled City Council meeting of June 18, 2025.
Mayor Newton closed the discussion.
