SUBJECT: DECEMBER AND JANUARY MEETING SCHEDULES
Background:
In reviewing the upcoming meeting schedule with the Directors, it has been determined that there are no crucial time-sensitive items that need to be addressed before the end of the year or the first meeting of the new year. Therefore, I recommend canceling the regularly scheduled City Council meetings of December 19, 2023 and January 2, 2024.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for January 16, but if anything surfaces prior to that date that needs to be addressed, a special meeting may be scheduled.
If, however, City Council prefers to hold two meetings in January, I propose they be held on January 16 and 30, 2024.

Information will be shared on the City’s social media sites, the marquee, the website, and the City’s designated posting site, if the meeting is canceled.

3 Recommended Action:
Staff recommends City Council consider:
a. canceling the December 19, 2023 and January 2, 2024 meetings, and holding one regularly scheduled meeting on January 16th; or
b. directing staff to take the appropriate steps to hold the December 19 meeting, cancel the January 2, 2024 meeting, and hold two meetings in January on the 16th and 30th.
