SUBJECT: AWARD CONTRACT FOR GROUT RESTORATION AND SEALING IN
RESTROOMS OF CITY FACILITIES
Background:
In November 2023, the City released a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation from qualified companies for grout restoration and tile sealing in restrooms at all City Facilities. Four firms responded with the following results:

Zuma Construction Group Inc. $64,471.00
M-RE Construction Inc. $78,000.00
All American Building Services $96,427.00
Classic Floor Care, Inc. of Glendora is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The contractor will be responsible for restoring and cleaning approximately 36,000 s.f. of tiles in City restrooms. City staff and contractor will generate a schedule to minimally impact facility operations and programming.

Recommended Action:
Staff recommends City Council award a contract to Classic Floor Care, Inc. in the amount of $44,978.75 for grout restoration and tile sealing services at City restrooms; and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract and any amendments; provided there is funding in the budget and it is within the City Manager’s signing authority; on behalf of the City, in a form approved by the City Attorney.
