RESOLUTION NO. 24-09
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK
APPOINTING COUNCILIMEMBER RICK RAMIREZ TO REPLACE VICE
MAYOR AYALA AS THE CITY’S ALTERNATE TO THE LOS ANGELES
COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NOS. 2 AND 18 AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 24-04
WHEREAS, it is necessary that the City of Norwalk have representation in the affairs of the Los Angeles County Sanitation District Nos. 2 and 18, if the Mayor is unable to attend; and
WHEREAS, the Vice Mayor cannot attend the meetings and has requested that another City Councilmember replace him; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Rick Ramirez has indicated his availability to fulfill this responsibility on behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK
HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Councilmember Rick Ramirez of the City Council of the City of Norwalk, is hereby selected and designated as an alternate member of the Boards of Directors of the County Sanitation District Nos. 2 and 18, of the Los Angeles County to act in the place of the presiding officer of the City Council, Mayor Rios during her absence, inability or refusal to act as a member of said Board of Directors.
Section 2.Resolution No. 24-04 is hereby rescinded in its entirety.
Section 3.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
