UPCOMING APPEAL HEARING
Background:
Recently the Department of Human Resources received a request for an appeal hearing before the Personnel Appeals Board.
Per the Norwalk Municipal Code, Section 2.24.110 (B), subject to approval of the City Council, the Mayor shall select three persons from the five-member Personnel Appeals Board list to hear the appeal.
The Mayor has chosen the following three members to hear the matter:
Kimberly Apodaca
Gloria Rodriguez
Olga Aviña
The following member will be utilized should anyone from the board resign:
Jalna Boltz
In accordance with the Municipal Code, the affected employee, via union representation, has been notified of the proposed Board composition.
Fiscal Impact:
Funds for appeals are included within the Human Resources departmental budget.

Recommended Action:
Staff recommends City Council approve the Mayor’s Personnel Appeals Board selections and the backup member should it be necessary.
