RESOLUTION NO. 24-34
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/24
ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE GENERAL FUNDS FOR
CITYWIDE INSPECTION SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023/24
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 Budget includes citywide inspection services and is funded with General Fund Revenue proceeds at $170,000; and WHEREAS, the project provides for contractual inspector to perform inspection of permitted construction in City right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, the City typically issues over 600 permits per year and the annual citywide inspection services contract amount of $163,800 was fully expended by end of April 2024; and
WHEREAS, additional funds exceeding the budget amount are necessary to provide for a contract amendment to citywide inspection services for the remainder of FY 2023/24; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the FY 2023/24 budget to allocate $45,000 of available General Funds for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following accounts:

Fund Balance:101-30-3104-2080 $45,000
Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed deputy, is directed to attest thereto.
