SUBJECT: AGREEMENT – SUPPLY OF AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND SUPPLIES Background:
On March 28, 2024, the City issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 24-737 for Supply and Delivery of Automotive Parts and Supplies. The purpose of the IFB is to acquire Original Equipment Manufacturer aftermarket, and remanufactured parts/supplies for City-Wide vehicles and Norwalk Transit System (NTS) fleet.
NTS received four bids, from the following: 1) Cummins, Inc., 2) Elliot Auto Supply Co. Inc. 3) H&H Auto Parts Wholesale, and 4) Parts Authority, LLC. Staff reviewed the bids and determined that H&H Auto Parts Wholesale provided the lowest and most responsive/responsible bid.
Fiscal Impact:
NTS is seeking a three year contract, plus two one-year options for parts and supplies. The cost for the first year of the contract totals $35,000 which is included in the Fiscal Year 2024/25 Transportation Department adopted budget. There is no impact to the general fund.
