City Council Agenda Report
August 6, 2024
TO: Honorable City Council
FROM: Jesus M. Gomez, City Manager
BY: Salpy Kabaklian-Slentz, Management Analyst
SUBJECT: AGREEMENT – MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM SERVICES Background:

Management Information Systems (MIS) is a vital component of the City’s operation, requiring delivery of a high level of service that meets the needs of the City in order to continue providing quality service to the community.

The City most recently contracted with Knight Communications in 2019. Since then, the City has hired a full-time, on-site IT Manager. With the addition of this City position, the City reevaluated its needs for outside MIS services. Upon this review, the City has determined that IBE Digital (IBE) would best fulfill the City’s needs.

IBE has been working with the City since 2022 when they were first hired to conduct a network assessment. Since that time, IBE has grown familiar with the needs of the City. Now, under the cooperative purchasing agreement with Sourcewell (Sourcewell #030321-KON) that was previously utilized for the network assessment, staff recommends that IBE’s role be expanded to include the following services:
•2 Level-Two desktop support engineers who will be onsite for 40 hours per week to handle:
oTroubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware and software issues one end user devices;
oSoftware installation and configuration on end user devices, including new application, computer, or peripheral installations;
oEnd user device replacements;
oUser account management and permissions;
