SUBJECT: PROJECT NO. 7242 - ACCEPT WORK FOR EXCELSIOR DRIVE AND
BLOOMFIELD AVENUE SPEED FEEDBACK SIGN IMPROVEMENTS
Background:
On December 5, 2023, City Council awarded a contract to Select Electric, Inc. in the amount of $64,720 for Excelsior Drive and Bloomfield Avenue Speed Feedback Sign Improvements. Work scope includes supply and installation of four speed feedback signs at the subject intersection.
Final project costs are $73,419.99 and the work was satisfactorily completed on July 22, 2024. Additional work for concrete replacements in the amount of $9,700 is within the contingency amount and was required to complete the project.

Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project is available through approved/available Fiscal Year 2023/24 Measure “M” Bond proceeds. No General Fund Monies are used for this project. Unexpended funds are available for reprogramming.

Strategic Plan 2023 Implementation:
The recommended action will further the City’s Strategic Plan Goal 2: Work in Partnership with Our Community to Achieve Safe and Livable Neighborhoods, Objective 1, Reinvest in existing and aging infrastructure.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends the City Council accept the work completed by Select Electric, Inc. in the amount of $73,419.99 for Excelsior Drive and Bloomfield Avenue Speed Feedback Sign Improvements.
