MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
NORWALK CITY COUNCIL
NORWALK, CALIFORNIA
OCTOBER 18, 2024
Mayor Rios called the special State of the City meeting to order at 11:22 a.m. in the conference room at the Doubletree Hotel , 13111 Sycamore Drive, Norwalk, California.
Responding to roll call were Councilmembers Ramirez, Vice Mayor Ayala, and Mayor Rios. Councilmembers Perez and Valencia were absent . Also present were Jesus M.
Gomez, City Manager; and Camille Moreno, Assistant City Clerk.
PRESENTATIONS
Caren Spilsbury, Executive Director of the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, provided a report on the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. City Council received and filed.
Captain Richard Conti, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department provided a report on the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station. City Council received and filed.
Mayor Rios shared videos and provided a presentation regarding the State of the City.
She also received a Certificate of Recognition from California Senator Bob Archuleta, Representative of the 30
th Senate District. City Council received and filed.
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
There were no persons wishing to address City Council on the matters of this special meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at 1:06 p.m.
