RESOLUTION NO. 24-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK
APPROVING CHILD CARE CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES FOR FUNDING
OF THE CALWORKS STAGE 2, STAGE 3, AND ALTERNATIVE
PAYMENT CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2025/2026
WHEREAS, the City of Norwalk has established a Child Care program through its Social Services Department; and
WHEREAS, in order to certify the approval of City Council to enter into this transaction with the California Department of Social Services for the purpose of providing child care and development services for Fiscal Year 2025/2026 it is necessary that this resolution be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Council of the City of Norwalk, vendor number 2187, authorizes entering into a local agreement with the California Department of Social Services and authorizes the City Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the City.
Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
