RESOLUTION NO. 25-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 24-49 AND REPLACING IT IN ITS ENTIRETY AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024/25
ADOPTED BUDGET TO ADD CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY EMERGENCY
RESPONSE TEAM SUPPORT GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25 Budget does not include the California Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Support Grant Award; and WHEREAS, As part of the grant requirements, the City of Norwalk will provide interpretation services to those not fluent in English to accommodate all people as part of the activities performed under this grant; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the proposed FY 2024/25 Budget to allocate $22,150 of available California CERT Support Grant Award funds to the CERT training program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:

Revenues: 225-20-0000-4449 $22,150
Expenditures: 225-20-2109-2080 $22,150
Section 2.The City Council appoints Osbaldo Ramos, Deputy City Manager, as the authorized signatory on behalf of the City of Norwalk to enter into Grant Subaward Agreement for California CERT Support Grant LC 23-01-1607, a grant awarded by California Office of Emergency Services, and any applicable Grant Subaward Amendments; and Section 3. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix his signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or his duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
