SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSIONER APPOINTMENT
Background:
Section 2.16.020 of the Norwalk Municipal Code provides that the terms of the members of the Norwalk Planning Commission shall be coexistent with that of the City Councilmember making the appointment. As the term of Councilmember Valencia’s previous commissioner expired, there is currently a vacancy.
The Office of the City Clerk has posted the mandatory vacancy notice in order to allow an appointment to be made at this meeting.

Recommended Action:
Staff recommends Councilmember Valencia appoint a member of the community to serve as a Planning Commissioner for a four-year term.
