RESOLUTION NO. 25-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2024/25
ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE AVAILABLE MEASURE W
FUNDING TOWARDS CITY PROJECT NO. 7606 STORM DRAIN
REPAIRS FOR POTTER STREET
WHEREAS, existing City owned segments of storm drain pipe and catch basins located within Potter Street and within a City owned easement on a privately owned property at 11701 are in need of repairs; and
WHEREAS, City Project No. 7606 Potter Street Storm Drain Repairs (Project No. 7606) will affect the necessary repairs to existing damaged components of the storm drain system and improve upon the hydraulics and drainage of stormwater captured at this location; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work for Project No. 7606 includes removal, realignment, and replacement/restoration of existing City owned storm drain, catch basins, paving, sidewalks and gutters, decorative pavers, concrete, planters and landscaped areas, and the existing storm drain connection to the Los Angeles County Flood Control District stormwater truck main; and
WHEREAS, the approved Fiscal Year (FY) 2024/25 Capital Improvements Projects (CIP) Budget does not include adequate funding to cover the costs for Project No. 7606; and
WHEREAS, Measure W funds are identified as an available funding source for Project No. 7606; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the FY 2024/25 CIP Budget to allocate Measure W funding in the amount of $250,000 for Project No. 7606.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriations and prepare the necessary budget amendments for the following accounts:

Expenditures: 230-70-7606-2080 $250,000
Fund Balance: 230-0480 $250,000
Section 2. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix his signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed deputy, is directed to attest thereto.
