SUBJECT: PROJECT NO. 7449 – WATERMAIN AND ADVANCED METER INFRASTRUCTURE METER REPLACEMENTS AND PROJECT NO. 7937 - LOCAL STREETS REHABILITATION PROGRAM ZONE 31 ASPHALT
IMPROVEMENTS / AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND
INSPECTION SERVICES
Background:
On May 1, 2025, a request for proposals (RFP) was sent to consultants on the City’s on-call pre- qualified list established via Request for Qualifications 23-705, for professional construction management and inspection services for Project No. 7449 – Watermain and Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI/AMR) Meter Replacements and Project No. 7937 - Local Streets Rehabilitation Program Zone 31 Asphalt Improvements.
On May 28, 2025, one proposal was received from Civiltec Engineering, Inc. (Civiltec). The proposal from Civiltec was evaluated based on qualifications of the firm, proposed team and organization, experience performing work of a similar nature, and ability to meet the project schedule. Fees are not evaluated initially but are reviewed and were considered as part of the evaluation. The proposal submitted by Civiltec was determined to be responsive to the City’s requirements for construction management and inspection services for the projects.
Their technical knowledge, relevant team experience, and understanding of the scope of work and project objectives qualify the company to manage these projects.
