RE: City of Norwalk – As Needed Staff Augmentation Expertise
Dear Mr Gomez,
Southstar | DCCM (DCCM) greatly appreciates the opp ortunity to provide as-needed staff augmentation, i ncluding expertise in project management, funding, administr ation, oversight, design, construction management, and inspection for smaller projects within your Purchas e Order authority.
We are prepared to assist the City with tasks such as updating paperwork submittals required to mainta in Metro funding for projects that the City has received awa rds for, which have annual compliance requirements, including by not limited to the preparation of reimbursement requests. For instance, for Metro or any other rela ted agency, there may be the need to provide updates on expendi tures, cash flow projections, and project status co ncerning scope and schedule to prevent funding from lapsing, as specified in the executed funding agreement(s).
We are also prepared to manage technical projects a nd tasks that may arise, requiring temporary resour ce-leveling expertise, in the areas of small design projects an d/or small construction management or inspection co ntracts, including as needed permit inspection. DCCM is eage r to assist the City in meeting your project and pr ogram needs within the parameters of this purchase order.
SCOPE OF WORK
Tasks that may be performed at the City's request i nclude:
• Grant Preparation : The level of effort required will be determined based on the specifics of the grant. • Project Management : The level of effort will be determined based on t he project's requirements. • Design : For small design projects and/or encroachment per mit efforts, the level of effort will be determined based on the project's scope.
• Construction Management & Inspection : The level of effort will be determined based on t he project's needs.
Southstar | DCCM Rate Sheet | The rate sheet below includes a range of hourly rat es that we are currently charging for similar types of efforts throughout th e sub-region. We hold several contracts in the vici nity of Norwalk, including:
• Santa Fe Springs General On-Call
• City of La Mirada CM & I On-Call
• City of Downey CM & I On-Call
• City of Commerce General Engineering
• City of Bellflower General Engineering
• City of Pico Rivera General Engineering, CM&I and S taff Augmentation
The following fee schedule is provided:
DCCM understands that this proposal is for a purcha se order to be executed within your authority. At this time, we respectfully request authorization for a total of $36, 000 to provide these as-needed services.
