RESOLUTION NO. 25-42
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2025/26
ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE AVAILABLE WATER
ENTERPRISE FUNDING FOR PROJECT NO. 7451 – WELL NO. 10
GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON TREATMENT AND SYSTEM
UPGRADES
WHEREAS, the City’s Well No. 10 exceeded the maximum contaminant level (MCL) for Benzene set by the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB); and WHEREAS, in order for the City to continue water production to comply with SWRCB requirements, a design of a granular activated carbon treatment and system upgrades is necessary; and
WHEREAS, additional costs for expanded scope of work for treatment and systems upgrade in an amount not-to-exceed $124,940; and WHEREAS, Water Enterprise funds are utilized as the funding source for regulatory compliance reporting; and
WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the approved FY 2025/26 Budget to allocated an additional $124,940 of Water Enterprise Funding towards Project No. 7451 – Well No. 10 Granular Activated Carbon Treatment and System Upgrades.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:

Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix his signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
