RESOLUTION NO. 25-64
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK APPROVING THE CHILD CARE CALWORKs STAGE 2, 3, AND
ALTERNATIVE PAYMENT CHILD CARE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026/2027 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTINUED FUNDING APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the City of Norwalk has established a child care program through its Social Services Department; and
WHEREAS, in order to certify the approval of City Council to enter into this transaction with the California Department of Social Services for the purpose of providing child care and development services for Fiscal Year 2026/2027 it is necessary that this resolution be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Council, Vendor Number 2187, authorizes the City Manager to execute the Continued Funding Application with the California Department of Social Services on behalf of the City.
Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix his signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
