RESOLUTION NO. 26-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2025/26 ADOPTED
BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE TO APPROPRIATE STREET RENOVATION FUNDS TO PROJECT NO. 7943 – LOCAL STREETS REHABILITATION PROJECT ZONE 13 WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26 Budget did not include new Project No. 7943; and WHEREAS, the project includes grind and overlay, specific location full-depth removal/replacement, cape seal rehabilitation or application of a slurry seal coating; and WHEREAS, the project includes upgrading of accessibility ramps and cross gutters with slots to current standards at intersection corners; and
WHEREAS, the new project requires appropriation of funds; and WHEREAS, City Council desires to amend the FY 2025/26 budget to allocate $344,595 of available RMRA funds to Project No. 7943; and
WHEREAS, the appropriation of $344,595 is intended solely for engineering design and construction support services associated with Project No. 7943; and WHEREAS, additional funding for construction will be requested at a later date, prior to the award of a construction and construction management services contract for Project No. 7943.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following account:

Expenditures: 404-70-7943-2080 $344,595
Fund Balance: 404-0480 $344,595
Section 2.The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
