RESOLUTION NO. 26-12
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2025/26
ADOPTED BUDGET FOR SMALL BUSINESS TECHNICAL
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, The City of Norwalk has been awarded a grant in the amount of $150,000 from the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, to support the City of Norwalk Small Business Technical Assistance Program; and
WHEREAS, The Economic Development Administration grant requires a local matching contribution in the amount of $150,000, for a total project cost of $300,000; and WHEREAS, The federal Economic Development Administration grant funds do not impact the City’s General Fund and must be recognized and appropriated to allow for project expenditures; and
WHEREAS, Funding for the City’s required matching contribution is available within the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Adopted Budget in the City’s Business, Attraction, Retention and Expansion program; and
WHEREAS, a budget amendment is required to recognize the Economic Development Administration grant revenue and appropriate grant-funded expenditures;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORWALK HEREBY DETERMINES, FINDS, AND RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to make the following appropriation and prepare the necessary budget amendment for the following accounts:

Revenues: 232-62-0000-4469 $150,000
Expenditures: 232-62-6207-2083 $150,000
Section 2. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix her signature to this Resolution signifying its adoption by the City Council of the City of Norwalk and the City Clerk, or her duly appointed assistant, is directed to attest thereto.
